My great grandfather was in the 7th Light Horse Regiment during World War 1. This blog is simply to post information relating to the 7th ALH, which seems to garner a little less attention than some other regiments. I'm not a historian, or an expert. But hopefully something will be posted here that is of use to others.

Delighted to see your reference to Capt A C Youdale MC. You may already know that he also served in 9 Squadron RFC. We have documents to support, photos & artefacts re his RFC days through the effects of the late Lt R B Ashcroft MC who was his observer in 9Sqn.

We would like to have contact with any of Youdale's descendants.
