My great grandfather was in the 7th Light Horse Regiment during World War 1. This blog is simply to post information relating to the 7th ALH, which seems to garner a little less attention than some other regiments. I'm not a historian, or an expert. But hopefully something will be posted here that is of use to others.

NSW State Library

Given that the 7th ALH was a NSW Regiment, a number of items have ended up in the NSW State Library. This is a summary of manuscripts held at the library.

Title: Arthur Wellesley Hyman - further papers concerning World War I, 1915-1920
Creator: Hyman, Arthur Wellesley
Arthur Wellesley Hyman served as a major in the 2nd Australian Light Horse Brigade in the Middle East and France and on the staff of the Fourth Australian Division. He was awarded an OBE for his services, and later attained the rank of Colonel with the Army Legal Corps. 1915; Plan or map of the 7th Light Horse Regiment 2nd Light Horse Brigade trenches at Gallipoli, June 1915 drawn by Captain T.
